Ok after installing KDE 3.5.2, very happy. Now i got that other problem sorted, and feeling pleased I managed to do it myself =)

I think have looked everywhere but how do I alter the transparancy of the kicker? in kde 3.4 it was easy to find in configure your desktop, but now it seems to be missing. It is still transparant like how I had it before, but now I can alter it.

Agter using google I have found one post that says it is missing now in mandriva, ... hum I figured that, but it went on to say you could do it by altering a config file, but not wich one.

Please does anyone know how to alter it, either with a gui or a config file, or really hoping if it is not on a gui someone might know how to put it back.

I'm using 3.5.2 and the transparency controls are in the same place in kde control center they've always been: desktop>panel>appearance>panel background. And menu translucency is in appearances&themes>style>effects. If you don't have them then perhaps there's something wrong with the way Mandriva has it set up or something.

And I don't know exactly where the config files for it are, but they should be under ~/.kde somewhere, maybe .kde/share/config/kickerrc.
