Keyboard goes dead when logging in to user via KDE session
With an otherwise-working new installation of Mandriva 2006, I just started having a problem: When I log in as a particular user under X, the user name and password fields work perfectly. Once I am logged in, using a KDE session, the keyboard is dead. If I log in as root using a KDE session, the keyboard works fine. Anyone have any ideas?
Update: I fixed the problem by deleting the user account and recreating it. I'd still love to know what caused this so I can fix it without resorting to a crowbar.
