Kernel headers for Mandrake 10

I need to install ATI video drivers and it requires to have kernel-deaders loaded. I can't seem to find the packaged file on my CDs. Is there a place where I can DL this file and install it?

Thanks.

it will be on there somewhere... you just gotta look! rpm.find should contain it too, but it will be on the cd somewhere. make you you get the exact same version as your kernel... kernel-headers-2.4.27-21.rpm for example.

I have the same problem, not only with Mandrake but with several distro's.
There is no package with the name *header* on the install-discs, nor in Mandrake download site. I found this post googling to find kernel-header package somewhere?
This is a new problem, never happened with previous distro-versions.
I'll get back when I find anything useful, does anybody know why kernel-headers aren't included any more when they obviously are important?

Yeppers...I had the same problem a while back.

If I remember correctly...do a search for the kernel source rpm package from your CDs..install the SAME version as the kernel you are currently running "uname-r" This will have the headers...source, whatever...grrr.

Hope this helps:rolleyes:

urpmi kernel-source

NOT kernel headers, which only gives you some of the files.
