KDE 3.2.1 + QT 3.3 = Day Wasted

QT is very very very hard to get installed. Know why? Neither do I, but I have configured and installed it some 2 times now - and KDE 3.2.1 still says it isn't installed. Ain't that a b!tch?

It says, "library qt-mt not found" ... Ok how can it not be found if I installed QT? I put the 4 lines of code it required in .bash_profile just like the QT install says to.

The first time my problem was that OpenGL wanted me to put:

./configure -thread

But after the compiling finished (zZzZzZzZz...) and I went to install kde 3.2.1, KDE complains, HEY! QT is threaded!

The second time I ran it normal; "./configure" After the compiling, it said "library qt-mt not found" so I was like, ok let me re-read the manual. So I re-read the install thing for QT, put those lines into .bash_profile and had to start over.

I am on my third time now (at least I think this is my 3rd time...) and am hoping it is going to work. If I get it working I will be sure to post explicit directions on how to get it working.

In the mean time, if someone else can tell me how to install (I guess it would be upgrade?) QT, I am all ears.

:-) Thanks for trying to help, but I already solved the QT 3.3 problem

I ended up installing like everything that had 'qt' in it when I ran: urpmi qt

Then um it just worked... So QT 3.3 is good to go

I went and got konstruct, am doing:

cd meta/kde;make install

as I type this. Had to download alot of dependencies and run ./configure like 5 times because it kept stalling on errors. Been 1 hour 35minutes now, should be complete in ~30... If it works, hurray! If not my bat in my closet will get put to use...
