9.2 rc2 is good.
install it first, you'll be able to upgrade to 9.2 final like the way i already did...

my appologies for the earlier post.

October 24th, 2003 - Important notice! - Several users have reported a big issue with LG Cd-rom drives used with Mandrake Linux 9.2: these CD-rom drives are not compliant with ATAPI specification and therefore can be damaged. All details, future updates and possible fix related to this issue are available at this page. Other Cd-rom drives are not affected by this issue. Update - Nov 3rd, 2003: due to this issue, the release of Mandrake 9.2 public ISO images has been delayed for a few days.

The following is from the Mandrake site which I think answers the question.

"Update Nov 3rd, 2003: due to the LG issue the public release of Mandrake 9.2 ISOs has been delayed for a few days."

No indication, however, of when the release will actually occur. Given that Fedora Core is now set to be released on Thursday, my guess would be Wednesday....
