Angry ISOs download stalls

For the last 3 hours, I've been trying to dowload Mandrake 10.1 community or 10.0 official ISOs on my win98 machine with no luck. At around 200mb to 550mb of completed download, the download stalls. Nothing is being downloaded at all.

Is this a problem with the mirror servers that I'm downloading from or is it something on my end?

Your end.

Try to use a client that permits resumption of downloads.

Most FTP clients do.

Best to use FTP - Try AceFtp- I had problems with mirror.ac.uk - would stall and never let me resume....used a different mirror (Heathnet in this case) and all was well.

Just a short OT question...
What makes Firefox so much better than Mozilla? What are the benefits?

Mozillas good....but it's a suite of apps - Firefox is just a browser - supposedly it has a smaller footprint as well.
