Internet Sharing w/o DHCP Server
Hi ~
To start things off I am a newbie w/ Linux so take it easy on me!
Question:
I've installed Mandrake 10 with the notion of Internet Sharing my cable connection to some Windows boxes. I've gone through the setup of both cards using the new connection control panel.
Eth0 -is a static IP that is on my LAN
Eth1- is getting it's IP address from my Cable Provider via DHCP.
So that went nice and smooth. Now when i go to Internet Sharing I choose my WAN card that is Eth1, and my LAN Eth0. Everything is going great but it decides to conifgure my WAN side, it wants to be a DHCP server, no! I don't want that! I went into the card setting and there is no where to turn that off. Running a DHCP server is not an option.
Any guidance would be great!
Thanks
