Hello,

I have installed mandriva 2007.1 on
intel 945GCCR MB as dual boot with windowsXP.

The system booted into linux all was
OK. restored my mails, etc.

Now it does not boot. It starts and stops
in between.

The same happens with mandriva 2006 powerpack.
It install fine but the second time does not boot.

Windows boots fine again and again.

Any idea why ?

Better information may produce useful replies.What is the last message you see (if any) when booting stops.Starts and stops in between what?

There are so many possible reasons a computer will not boot that no one will be able to help if you do not include more specific information.

On More investigation, here what the
problem is :

I have windows + mandriva 2006 .

I power on boot into linux, all ok.

Next I reboot from linux into windows
- all ok.

Now I reboot from windows onto linux and
linux does not boot.

I switch off from the main and boot again
and I am able to boot into linux .

So basically the moment I boot into windows
I am not able to boot into linux. I have power down
completely and power on again to boot into linux.

There is no such issue with winows.

Any idea why it happens in the first place ?

How to rectify this problem ?
