Intel 536EP Modem drivers not installing, Missing Kernal File

Ok...so I'm going through the long process of trying to get my Intel 536EP modem to work with my Mandriva 2006...but I'm have some difficulties.

I need to type: "make clean", and that works. Then I type "make 536" but I get an error saying I'm missing 'autoconf.h' in /lib/modules...

Basically I need to know how to download that file, and then how to install it in the directory. The three dots don't give me a clue as to what directory it's supposed to be in either.

Any help is much apperciated! I really want to go online through Linux.

UPDATE: Make 536 finally worked, I installed the extra kernal files. But "make install" still won't go. I get this message:

Quote:

[root@localhost intel-536EP-2.56.76.1]# make install
rm -f /etc/hamregistry.bin
bash Intel536_inst
running kernel 2.6.12-12mdksmp

I just downloaded the lastest driver Intel realeased (it is the Intel-536EP-4.71.tgz in intel's page) and installed them following the instructions in readme.txt

Good Luck!
