When using the autoinstall features of Realplayer 10 for Linux, I installed it in /opt/firefox/plugins
I have checked with the file browser that it is actually installed there and it is. I can launch Realplayer from Realplay.bin in the plugins folder, but Realplayer does not seem to be integrated into Mozilla, even though I chose this option during the first run of Realplayer 10. When I went to IMDB.com and tested Realplayer using a movie trailer, I am told that Realplayer is not installed.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I found this list of instructions on the site you directed me too
1. Install RealPlayer 10.
2. Copy nphelix.so to your Mozilla plugins directory and nphelix.xpt to your Mozilla components directory.
3. Make sure a symbolic link to the realplay script is in your PATH.
Hi,
yes, I have checked and it will work if i type 'realplay' in the console. I'd like to have it fully integrated though, to bypass this step if I can. Is there any easy way of doing this?
I didn't mean you have to start RealPlayer from a console every time. What I meant was that if you can start RealPlayer that way then it is in your path, so you have satisfied step 3 of the instructions.
If you've done all the steps of the instructions then it should be fully integrated into your browser, and everything should work properly now.
