Installing Mandriva on an external USB drive

Hello,

I discovered Mandriva GlobeTrotter today and found it really cool. I have an external USB drive and I was wondering if I could use it to create a GlobeTrotter of my own.

I already tried installing Mandriva on my External drive about two years ago and it worked fine... but would it run on the computer is has not been installed with?

If you have already experienced this or if you have a better idea (using mandrake move for example?) please let me know.

Thanks.
