Installing Mandriva 2006 on top of 10.1

Eventually I would like to get Mandriva 2006 - can I simply install on top of Mandriva 10.1?

If you mean "can I upgrade 10.1 to 2006?" Yes you can.

It is generally accepted that a clean install is the best way to go, but the easiest and quickest way is to just upgrade . Your install CD's will give you the option.

No matter what way you decide to go make sure you make a backup of any important files that you have.
