Installing Mandrake and XP on 2 HDD, Can I access files on Linux drive from XP?

Hi there,

I was just wondering what the best way of doing this is, I have a 200Gb and an 80Gb drive. I will put XP on 200 and Mandrake on 80 in that order, but as I am new to Linux I'm not sure if Windows can read the Linux drive or if I need to make a partition that can be read by both OS's.

Thinking like this: If I am in Linux and download a file that I want to open from Windows later....can I do it if I download it to the Linux Drive????

/Regards,

Jonas

Create a Fat32 shared drive - I find a couple of Gig is usually sufficient.

Can I do this before I install Mandrake? Partitioning off say 20 gigs of the windows drive as FAT-32 in between the Windows and Linux installations (Using say Partition Magic)??

Any time - before or later.
XP will find it, and you simply need to add it to /etc/fstab for Linux to mount it at boot.
