Installing gkrellm in mandrake 9.2

I downloaded and installed this program just to play with it. It is pretty sweet program. Well i want more, more more, and more.

I found out you can use it to monitor your processor temp, fan temp and other stuff like that.

The info that i read told me i needed to have lm_sensors running/installed so i went to RPMsource and downloaded

lm_sensors-2.8.0-4mdk.i586.rpm

So i went to run it and i got

[root@localhost Documents]# rpm -i lm_sensors-2.8.0-4mdk.i586.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
librrd.so.0 is needed by lm_sensors-2.8.0-4mdk
libsensors.so.2 is needed by lm_sensors-2.8.0-4mdk

well i tried searching for the dependency files but have only been able to find to Redhat downloads and nothing for mandrake.

try to search again with the exact name from www.rpmfind.net or www.rpm.pbone.net or from cooker when you find the rpm pckgs, install them at the same time in konsole as root with the command *rpm -ivh blahblah.rpm blahblah.rpm

i figured out why i couldn't find it. When i looked for it i put "586" in the architecture field.
well that would have worked except its a i586 <smacks forehead>

i found them and ran the rpm...seems to be working...i am going to rerun the lm_sensors package now...

crossing fingers.

You could have typed "urpmi gkrellm" and it would have resolved all those dependencies automatically for you.
