What kind of graphics card do you have?

Did you install X, KDE or the like and did the install configuration test pass?

Can you login as root? Did you create a user account in addition to the root account?

You have to make sure that you run the graphics config and TEST during install. Otherwise, it won't recognize your graphics card (at least in the installs that I've seen).

This is very common problem in mandrake on various intel based pcs...just open your PC bios setup and then change the vedio card memory to 8MB and then reboot.........if you still get the error just type XFdrake after login as "root" and then change the screen colous to 16bit and then type "startx" and all will work fine!
