Installation Problems Mandriva free 2010 spring i586
I had downloaded the iso file (mandriva-linux-free-2010-spring-i586.iso) from internet. Then I burn and install it. It's start booting normally, and I follow the steps of installation. And suddenly when it goes to install progress, the error appears. It said : "Unable to install from /tmp/media/....bla bla bla." Why this could be happen?
Please help me. I really need someone to solve this problem.
It seems like it's unable to mount your cd, or else read it's contents. The routine most distros follow is
1. Boot
2. Ask a few questions (keyboard, language)
3. Start installer
4. choose disk partitions
5. Choose packages
6. install
You made it to 3? Try checking the md5sum and burning a new one at low speed.

No Kid. I made it to 6. After checking the "installed packages", the error I said appears. Oh, you said that I should try to check md5sum. By the way, I completely don't understand about md5sum. Because I never use it. Please explain to me how to use it? And what program should I use.
If you are using Windows, google for "md5sum Windows. You should get several links to md5sum checkers for use in Windows. If you do not like working on the command line, there are several apps that will let you point and click to the file you want to check (easy-peezy). One such utility is Md5summer. I do not use it, so I can not give a recommendation from experience, but it is a GPL project, so check out the Web site anyway.
