In past, I already updated my previous mandrake distro without much problems, but now, I have a strange one.
After updating my mandrake 10 with some cooker source, the install package tool in Mandrake control Center doesn't work anymore....
When I click on the add/remove/update button, the window appears, tells me to wait while searching avaible packages, then returns me to MCC without showing me the package list window.
I though I had forgetten some dependancies, but with a "urpmi --auto-select" command in konsole (because with GUI mode in MCC it wasn't working) I installed all the packages it offered me, but it changed nothing to the strange behavior.
So, I need help to understand what is not working correctly.
And as I'm a real newbie, I'm really expecting for some help.

This is a known but, yet, unresolved rpmdrake bug. Should be fixed in the next couple of days. If you are using cooker, I highly advise you to check out www.qa.mandrakesoft.com when problems occur to see whether or not the problem has been reported or not.
The reason why mcc is not working correctly is that there is a problem with rpmdrake. Since the recent upgrade of drakxtools, the object method "set_menu" via package "Gtk2::ComboBox" at /usr/sbin/rpmdrake can't be found. To prove this, open up a terminal and as root, type mcc. Then when mcc opens up, go to software management and click on add/remove/ or update and when mcc refuses to do as told, you will see the error in the terminal.
You are doing the right thing by updating your packages with urpmi --auto-select. There is also a quick hack on the bug report if you are not willing to wait.
A really big thank you estatik. 2 answers in 2 problems. Thanks a lot.
It reassures me to know that it is a known bug.
I didn't know this site, i'll check it in future.
