install: cannot find my cdrom

I can't get very far at all with installing 10.1 OE

Right off the bat it says it cannot find my dvd-rw drive (yet it booted just fine???)

anyways i get to screen asking me to choose the drive for my device but there are like 200 options and I have no clue what to choose.

OS - mandrake 10.1 OE
mobo- intel 875
dvd-rw- NEC3500a

Well, the fix for me was in the readme file. I have a shuttle box (SB75s) and you have to change the SATA option to enhanced instead of auto. Worked like a charm. Now posting from Mandrake 10.1 OE.
