Unhappy Imfamous White desktop with 3D Beryl

Sorry to bother everybody with the same issue, but I couldn't fix this problem yet after trying different potential solutions, found over the web.The issue is same old, I enabled 3D Desktop with Beryl-Xgl combo on Mandriva Spring and the cube turns white. Im able to see the Beryl-diamond image on the cube caps, but the desktop is white. Only the mouse is visible. I need help with regards to 2 things here.
1) How do I fix this problem ?
2) How do I disable 3D,when the whole screen goes white ? Can this be done from the command line ?

Regarding the hardware specs, I use the HP dv9000t laptop with 1.83 GHz c2d, 2 GB RAM, 200 GB HDD, NVidia 7600 256 dedicated. I installed the 9755 drivers downloaded from the NVidia site.

I think this issue has been covered from all angles

LQ has a fantastic search function, you'll find heaps of threads for your question.

search "beryl white screen", without the quotes.

(The files for configuration and the files required for them.)

But post back if you have no luck at all, and we'll go from there.

If you are using Beryl, the compiz file in /etc/sysconfig should be set to compiz=no.

in the same folder the file xgl should also be set to xgl=no.

and compositing-wm, like this.......

COMPOSITING_WM_ARGS="--indirect-rendering --replace"

the file, COMPOSITING_SERVER file in the same directory (/etc/sysconfig)

there are some listings you'll need in /etc/X11/xorg.conf, I'll paste in the pertinent lines.....

Section "Device"
Identifier "device1"
Driver "nvidia"
VendorName "Palit"
BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce 7600 gt(Palit) 256Mb"

Section "Screen"
Identifier "screen1"
Device "device1"
Monitor "monitor1"
DefaultDepth 24
Option "AIGLX" "true"
Option "DPMS"
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "True"
Option "RenderAccel" "True"
Option "BackStoring" "True"
Option "DisableGLXRootClipping" "True"
Option "HWCursor"
Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "True"
SubSection "Display"
Depth 8
Modes "1280x1024" "1152x864" "1024x768" "832x624" "800x600" "640x480" ...........................................................................etc

Section "Extensions"
Option "Composite"
Option "RENDER" "Enable"

Hopes this is some help, Glenn
