ignore one of 2 sound cards
I have a AUDIGY sound card on my PC that is nicely supported but there is also an onboard sound chip that (unfortunately) mdk recognises and configures.
Draksound doesn't seem to have a "disable" option. And when I modify the modules.conf file to remove the module for the sound chip, it gets restored at next boot. The problem is that the sound chip gets the snd-slot-0 which seems to be the default one and the audigy gets the snd-slot-1.
The audigy will still work but only with apps that allow to choose which alsa device I want to use (like the xmms alsa output plugin). RealPlayer, kde and other don't offer this kind of options
So How can I get mandrake to forget about that sound chip ?
Thanks in advance.
