i586?

I would like to download Mandrake and would like to download the free version. My question is, what is a i586? I am pretty sure I have a i386. What should I download? Thank you!

BTW:

My processor is an Athlon XP 1700+

i586 is for Pentium class cpu's and higher. You will be fine with the i586.
