How to setup or configure a printer in Mandriva 0ne 2009
Mandriva 2009 installed without problems--really, quite easily. Good looking distro, and since I really liked Mandrake, it feels like home. But... There are some real headaches with it. The main panel is the touchiest thing I've seen in any distro. It's real easy to lose a 'widget' forever. The thing I'm fighting right now though is the printer. There is no printer setup entry in any configuration menu that I can find, and my printer is not listed in the basic hardware list. I installed CUPS and HPLIP which were not installed automatically, but it did no good without a setup dialog to use them. The printer has been installed in a dozen or so other distros--including 2008.1--without problems. Anyone seen anything like this???
