how to keep 10.1 from installing from scsi

Hi

I'm trying to install 10.1 ISO from an IDE DVD drive. It boots up fine but when I press enter to install, it tries to install from a SCSI CD drive, of which there is none.

If I press F1, what option can I give the Kernal to make it install from the IDE CD drive?

9.2 will install no problem.

I don't know if it's true in 10.1 but the old times Linux used SCSI emulation to write CDs.

I don't know enough about linux/disc burning to be able to use the information you've given me. Do I need to turn off SCSI emulation? and how/when would I do this?

This will not answer directly your question, but mandriva 2005 LE (10.2)
is much improved compared to 10.1
So try 2005LE would be my advice (this may not solve your problem though)
