How to install older kernel

Hi,

I have problems with my CDMA internet modem and I read that the problem is only with the kernel used in Mandrake 10.1 Official and not with kernel used in MDK 10.1 Community or older versions. How can I install (download) older kernel?

Thanks

If you are performaing a NEW install of 10.1 you can follow the on screen instructions on the first graphic to start the install with the 2.4 kernel, this will permit you to also install it to the HDD.

If you already have Mandrake installed, as root CD to the CD-ROM folder containing both the kernel and the kernel source... then

rpm -Uvh kernel-xxx.xxx kernel-source-xxx-xxx

Make sure that in both cases you specify exactly the same version.
