how to install c compiler -gcc??

Please help me. I got to install amarok on mandriva, but it found no gcc compiler. Why? And What should i do?

gcc will be in your package manager. For that matter, Amarok might also be there.

My package doesn't has amarok. I dont know if i am not mistaken, it has no gcc compiler. I use Mandriva Corporate server v4.0. And when i am installing amarok, it found errors. No gcc compiler on '$PATH', something like that..

if you can help me give steps from beginning where should i start to solve this, i am really new with Mandriva..

Have you checked with the package manager? This will be in your menus--perhaps titled "add/remove software", "install software", or something similar.
AFAIK, ALL distros have gcc available to install using the package manager.
