How to delete print pool documents
Hi
Have experinced a printing problem using KDE in Mandriva 10.2 HP Deskjet 948c default printer Normaly no printing problem.Today I selected print file that I had downloaded to my home folder. Started printing no problem but I noticed that square boxes where being printed that normaly would show chinese characters from Chinese source. Chinese characters fonts have been installed and used for a long time. No problem there. I wanted to stop further printing of this document so I cut power to the printer and removed the USB cable. When I restarted the computer the printer started printing out the same document. I tried using XPP printing Panel and MCC to delete print spool to start fresh. Where is the clipboard that hol;ds the print information How can I prevent this waste of time paperand ink to Stop printing Any help to prevent further printing problem like this will be much appreciated |
If you're using CUPS, try doing lpq (queries the printer queue) and find the number of the job. Then do lpr [the number] or lprm [the number]. You can also try going to http://127.0.0.1:631 and clicking around.

Printer Pool
Hi ghrellin
I found Klipper Clip board on search of LinuxQuestions.org I should have gone there first., so now Have KDE HP.Printer Tool Box and XPP Printer Pool on kicker board. Linux has so much hidden just available if you can find it. Only when a system problem pops up one requires all the help you can find Great to know linux has the solutions Thanks Maurice |
