installed packages?

wvidal, ppp and kppp are available - you need to install the packages though.
Go to Start Menu->System->Configuration->Configure your Computer->Software Management->Install and search for ppp. I recommend using kppp if you are using KDE.

Thank you for this info. I am trying and the result will be told you later. However, one more question, is KPPP is made for KDE only? I never used KPPP.

Its not restricted to ONLY be used on KDE, but it is written for it, and it has features like docking into your task bar etc. for the KDE environment.

These replies assume you have a dialup connection, a cable modem is different.

Nope..........nothing helped. I have the dial up connection. I can use PPP from Slackware and WVDIAL from Fedora to log on internet but KPPP not works either of the above cases. KPPP in mandriva is not working also. May it happen? I cannot connect using KPPP (though I can connect using WVDIAL and PPP)?
