I can delete windows partition or I can delete all of hard drive 2 partition with diskdrake(9.2). But I can not delete /tmp partition I have created in hdb2.
I have 2 hard drives in computer,and in hdb1 I have / ,swap and home.
In hdb2 I have windows98 and /tmp partitions.
What I want to do is that delete /tmp partition in hdb2 and resize windows partition and make hdb 2 only windows98.

how are you trying to delete it with diskdrake? if you're trying to do it while booted into MDK, you can't just delete it because it's mounted. you have to unmount the partition first (you can do that in diskdrake) then reformat it. then resize. you can also do it by booting from the MDK cd, hit f1, type rescue, then start diskdrake from there.

ok, i think understand now. you're booted into MDK9.2 & trying to unmount the /tmp partition that MDK is currently using? if that's the case, then you'll need to do it via the boot from CD/rescue mode i stated. MDK uses /tmp when it's running & it can't be unmounted/reformatted from a running GUI.

just be carefull with resizing/deleting partitions. you're still gonna need a /tmp partition somewhere, else MDK won't run. if you want help/advice, please post your current drive setup & what you're trying to accomplish & i'd be glad to give advice.

In these instances, you might want to consider using a stand-alone single floppy based distro to get around the 'its in use' problem. I recommend tomsrtbt available at http://www.toms.net/rb
