Hi there guys, once again I come for your expert advice!

Have just moved to AOL Platinum today and everything is running great, apart from I can't seem to access the mail server. I've gone through all the tutorials I can find and have tried all sorts of combinations and to be honest I'm totally stumped, although they were all for stuff other than Evolution.

I set the incoming server to IMAP etc. but when it comes to accessing it it shows me the IMAP server (using my ScreenName as a heading) but it just sticks on "Scanning folders in IMAP server XXXXXX". I've let it run for 5 minutes just in case it was just slow and still nothing.

Anybody got any ideas or can point me in the general direction of where I might be going wrong would be most gratefully appreciated. I'm using a Linksys WAG54G router, Mandriva 2006 Free, run KDE as a Desktop (Kernel kept up to date) and Evolution as an email client. Thanks in Advance.

oh yeah, and I'm in the UK so I'm using imap.uk.aol.com as the mail server. Cheers again.

maybe try kmail, if you can make it work with 1 software you may see where you go wrong. Post the link to the main / best tutorials you are talking about.

We are not all aol users, most would dislike it because it is not linux friemdly AFAIK, what I say is most people will not know what aol is like as an ISP,
or what the issues are
