Hot cpu, how to connect to solaris?

I have noticed on that my cpu runs almost 10c hotter when running mandriva compared to windows.

is this normal?

also, the keyboooard tenddss to type more letters than it is supposed to.

Howw can i connect to my solaris 8 maachines at school. they use the slogin command to connectt, how wooouldd i connect from hoome??

seems likee the OS oss operrating too faast,, can i tone it down?

If you're using Mandriva 2006, uninstall kat and the errata for the acpi fix.
