help with taskbar mods

Hi y'all
Just installed mdk 10.1 and love it. It is a big improvement over mdk 9.x . I have had to do some tweeking of the config. files to get some little things to work, download some service menus to extend konqueror etc.. and now I am tweekiing out the kicker task bar. I am going for a smoothdock transparent look(from left to right) with icon zoom in the quick-browser, small transparent multidesktop buttons with just numbers ,(??? clear system tray buttons???),clear dock app bar ,floating digi clock, floating date, clear applet section (for weather,mixer,etc..)

I have been able to all of this with no problems except for changing the look of the task bar buttons when they are minimized. I would like to have a clear button with the name of the app on it or even better just have the icon for the running programs appear in the taskbar when minimized. Can anyone tell me how to do this (does not have to be a gui based change;~)
I have been able to change the buttons color but this changes the color of all kde buttons.
any help hints etc.. are greatly appreciated.
thanks
Erik
