Unhappy Help, I can't update my system

Hello, I recently installed Mandrake 9.0 but when I try to update it there is a message which says that my distro is, not yet or not any more, supported.
I need to be able to update my system, what should I do?

To Mandrake, basically I need to make it support my printer (hp 3325).

Try using apt-get for rpm

I would use Webmin / System / Software Packages to search RPMfind for "apt". There's one dependency that can be downloaded via webmin as well. Once it's dependency and apt for rpm is installed, the webmin/system/software page will show options to update and/or upgrade your OS via apt.

download the 9.2 cd iso files and burn them. Your printer is probably supported by the hpoj package. Run "Configure Your Computer" and select the printer under hardware. This will prompt for packages for printer drivers. You'll insert you cd's or download them via the internet.
If this doesn't work, goto http://hpinkjet.sourceforge.net download the source code then:

tar zxvf hpijs-1.5.tar.gz
cd hpijs-1.5
./configure
make
make install
Restart your computer.
run printerdrake again
select the correct drivers for your printer
(I just did this with my HP psc 2510)
If this doesn't work, post

P.S urpmi is as good as apt-get to me.

Howdy all,
I am running Mandrake 9.2 on a Intel Celeron 2.4 Ghz, 256 MB DDR RAM, GIGABYTE P4 Titan 81845GV board. I have a HP Deskjet 3550 printer. I did as 'mmc' instructed. First I tried using the HP Deskjet 3325, it being the nearest driver that comes with ML 9.2. When I do a test print the paper would not pass properly and come out crumpled and it would be blank though the cartridge (I have installed only the black cartridge) goes about like it is printing. Then it would contimue printing if I insert more paper. After this the indicator LED would go on blinking without stop till I reboot the PC. After this I got hold of hpijs-1.6.tar.gz and installed it. Now I have the 3550 driver but the same problem persists. I decided to check the printer out in Windows 98 and it worked without any trouble at all.
What could be the problem ?
Thanks in advance.
