I'm new to all this, so I might be asking a question already answered. I did search the forum, but didn't find any good answer, or maybe my searching skills are bad.
Anyway, I followed kaega2's post on easyurpmi, and all I got from the root console was this,
- [root@online root]# urpmi.addmedia plf xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx with hdlist.cz
added medium plf
computing md5sum of existing source hdlist (or synthesis)
retrieving source hdlist (or synthesis) of "plf"...
xxx.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.xxx/hdlist.cz
found probed hdlist (or synthesis) as hdlist.cz
...retrieving done
examining hdlist file [/var/cache/urpmi/partial/hdlist.plf.cz]
writing list file for medium "plf"
examining pubkey file of "plf"...
performing second pass to compute dependencies
examining hdlist file [/var/lib/urpmi/hdlist.plf.cz]
built hdlist synthesis file for medium "plf"
found 0 headers in cache
removing 0 obsolete headers in cache
write config file [/etc/urpmi/urpmi.cfg]
And yes, I tried all the different ftp's.
I have the downloaded version of mandrake 10.0, you know, the three iso's. And it doesn't seem to update in any way. It's the part with " found 0 headers in cache" that tells me it didn't update. (of course the xx isn't part of it, I just haven't posted enough here to have the possibility to do link posting)
So what do I do to update now. Please advise.
Edit: Yes, stupid me, I just thought that firefox 0.9.1 and mozilla 1.7.1 would show up, but maybe they don't show up yet. So yes, now it seem's to work, I just got confused by "0 headers updated" thing.
So it takes som time to before new programs are added to the ftp's then?
