hardware date and time automatically changed on each boot of mandriva 2008 sping

I recently installed mandriva 2008.1 spring edition. Whenever I boot my hardware date and time is changed automatically. I tried to reset hardware date and time just before booting in bios setting. After booting into mandriva i found that the hardware clock is set to GMT (5:30 less than my actual time.) And the hardware time is reduced 5:30 hours on each reboot/boot.
I am also using Vector linux and Ubuntu. But those distro's dont have this problem. More over I use Ubuntu and Vector linux more frequently than Mandriva. So whenever I boot into Mandriva hardware time is changed and causing problem in other distros (time related).

How can I stop mandriva from changing the hardware time each time?

TBH i'm having the same problem since i've reinstalled 2008.1

I got the solution to that problem. I think that was a buck and solved in their updates. I just updated the system and now I am not having the problem. setlec_seta, you can also just update your 2008.1

FWIW, you can change this behavior in MCC by selecting System in the category list (left). Open the Manage Date and Time icon. Click the Change Time Zone button (right). When the Change Time Zone dialog opens click the OK button (bottom right). A new dialog pops up asking if your hardware clock is set to GMT. If you have Windows installed as a dual boot with Mandriva Linux, answer No. The hardware clock will no longer be reset to GMT when you boot to Mandriva and your Windows time will remain correctly set.

I tried this. Even after this the problem exists. Whatever it may be hardware clock should not be changed. Whatever displayed on the task pane may change, but why hardware clock is changed each time I boot? I tried updating the system, and that time it was not reset (for the first time). When I boot today again the problem occurs. Please give solution to this problem if anybody has.

Actually this was a bug.

I just upgraded the kernel as mentioned in the resolution to the bug and it solved my problem.

The kernel I upgraded is

If anybody has the same problem, they can upgrade their kernel to 2.6.24.7-1.uc1mnb-1-1mnb1 of their architecture.
