At least the Greek Keyboard layout in Mandriva 2006 doesn't work.
Even the symbol on the panel shows error.
It is frustrating. All my Linux life I want to use Mandrake, but always I find a problem that makes it no use for me.
Any Solution?
I solved the problem.
It is created by the incosistency of Mandriva in the country symbol.
In some places they use ¨gr¨ and in other ¨el¨.
We go to /etc/X11/xkb directory and
-we create an ¨el¨ line in /etc/X11/xkb/rules/XFree86.lst
-we rename the ¨gr¨ file to ¨el¨ in /etc/X11/xkb/symbols/pc
and then we select the ¨el¨ icon from the keyboard layout screen.
Works fine
