giving up on mdk9.2
have spent the last week or so struggling with 9.2
and it appears to be buggier than a whorehouse mattress i could not log out of KDE without a total system freeze, i could not log out of gnome without a total system freeze the urpmi database kept locking itself mdk crashed reading cd's had to be switched off and back on to open cd drives k3b crashed on startup and so on 9.1 on the other hand... when 9.2 has been out a while I'll give it another go |
I beat you. :D :D I already changed back. No kernel sources so I can't install most software including the NVIDIA drivers. A lot of programs were missing in the menu. I had to make the entry manually.
Overall, I think 9.2 looks better and cleaner but it sucks otherwise. Later :D :D Hmmm, I got to change my sig back. |
ahhh
could have helped you there update-menus -v rebuilds all menus and the kernel source is readily available still never mind eh? |
I did that command and they still were not there. That makes the ones that are usually hidden visible, but it won't make the ones that are missing appear though.
It's to late now anyway. I formatted that puppy. :jawa: Later :D :D :D |
