gaim mail alerter

i have installed the latest gaim and it is working great but am wanting to know if there is maybe a plugin or something that when connected, it notifies you that you have mail in like a hotmail or yahoo account?

In the previous versions this was already built in, haven't seen it yet in the new one too, but it should be somewhere.

have found where the mail alerter is. You go into the accounts and click on the account that you want and say edit and in there is an option which you tick for alerting of new mail.
