Full throttle cpu?

Hello,

I just installed java all seems to be well but when I go into a site and try to open a applet the cpu goes full throttle and the applet does not open. The sun coffee cup shows up and it says loading java applet but nill happens. I am running 450mhz cpu, 128 sdram, in icewm. I dont undestand this if anyone can help I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance

Umm, not an expert, but have you enabled javascript or Java globally in your browser's settings?

I use Mozilla Firebird and normally only need javascript for most sites. I pull down tools then options to enable javascript
