FTP install issues

ive done FTP installs of MDK10 before. For whatever reason, i burn the boot.iso, get to the point of connecting to the FTP server...now sometiems it says bad host name (which is me being stupid and entering in the wrong host) ok so i get the host right...

but no matter WHAT i do, it cant find the mdk-base2 file. It asks for the directory, ill be looking RIGHT AT IT from my windows machine.

i was setting it to autoconfigure DHCP, since that is what my router supports. also my other linux distros use dhcp to get online and even FTP install.

so id dry adsl connection.

this computers ip is 192.168.1.100
subnet mask 255.255.255.0
DNS server (no idea what to put here)
gateway router ip is 192.168.1.1, and the dsl modem at the end of it is: 172.16.0.1

so id try playing with it. I have no idea what its problem is if someone can help me out id really appreciate it. I always prefer this method because i dont have to burn anything and its up to date.
