Floppy module
Anybody know how I can disable a floppy module at boot? I do not have a floppy drive on my laptop and on boot it tells me: hint, ismod errors, do dmesg for output... and it shows that it couldnt locate a floppy.

I think viagra is the best cure for a floppy module :D
Does this actually halt the boot process? On my little laptop that doesnt have a floppy drive and I get the same response (or a similar one) but it does not affect the bootup at all, it's just a line of output during the boot. I dont know if you can do anything about that other than to recompile the kernel and see if you can remove support for a floppy drive, but I dont think that you can as the OS preserves the ability to use a floppy as a recovery precaution. |
