First time linux user having a small problem

I am sure that this is a very simple problem and I am doing something dumb, but after 2 days of searching through documentation and the such I have to decided to ask directly for help. I am currently attempting to install a usb wireless network adapter. I have downloaded the driver (linux-wlan-ng-0.2.1-pre20) and during installation I get the following:

Linux Source directory [/usr/src/linux]:
Linux source tree is incomplete or missing!
The kernel header files are present, but not the full source code.

I am in the right place, but clearly something is missing. Please let me know what file(s) I could be missing. Right now I have the uncompressed linux-2.6.3.tar.bz2. Everything I have read says that I have everything I need, but the driver is unconvinced.

grahfx; u may have missed this clue;from the kernel header files paragraph
states, source code is not fully installed. try redo it.

install the kernel-source package from your cd

from a terminal,
Code:

urpmi kernel-source
from rpmdrake/mandrake control center, put "kernel-source" or simply "kernel" in the search bar and hit enter. check it off and install. It'll take you 5 min. Its not installed by default, as I think they don't want to put 150+ mb of files on your HD if you aren't gonna need 'em. Good luck.

We don't even know if he's even using Mandrake.

I know, but I took a shot at being in the Mandrake furum. I'm tired of prying the info out (almost 1500 posts and no questions yet, only answers and smartass remarks). I'm not sitting down at the moment. LOL.
