files not appearing in powerpack 2010

I've been trying out different distros trying to find one to change to from Debian, and I like Mandriva a lot, except for one problem thats keeping me away. Seems like half the time I download a file or a tarball or whatever, it doesn't appear in Dolphin. The file is there, since I can sometimes leave the directory and come back in and it appears, or more usually I have to reboot. And sometimes it doesn't do this at all.

Anyone else ever experienced this, and come up with a fix?

Install Xfe and use it. I have seen the same problem with Dolphin, and decided it wasn't worth pressuring a fix. Xfe loads much faster than Dolphin. It is simpler in appearance, and works very well for me.

Hi, this may help....

Although I still use and prefer Konqueror,

the F5 key, like with M$win, refreshes the screen/filelist.

Hope it helps, Glenn
