I recently installed Mandrake 9.2 from the DVD that came with this magazine I bought, The Complete LINUX Handbook 2. The install went through everything fine except for two things. The known ATI Radeon driver error in 9.2 which doesn't bother me for now because I fixed by using the generic VESA driver, and a new problem that had never happend before with the downloaded versions of Mandrake 9.0, 9.2 and 10.0.
I'm kind of taking a shot in the dark, I don't know much of what's going on except that it could be a driver problem... Can someone please help me out here? Mandrake used to set this all up on its own and after the install, I was online in seconds. My motherboard is an ASUS A7N8X-E, hope that helps you.
This is the error:

In a nutshell, I can't get online. If you need any more information, do request it, I'm not a computer newbie, just a Linux newbie, so don't be afraid to use regular computer lingo. Please, I need a step-by-step guide on how to solve this, don't pretend I'll understand every Linux thing you say, because I won't. The few things I know are .... root, su, and a couple more console commands, but that's it. >.<;;
Thank you.
