Hello. I recently installed Mandrake 9.2 on my other computer and had no luck installing the d-link 530TX. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good, compatible, easily installed ethernet card? BTW, I'm a Linux newbie =(
absolutely anything cheap with a realtek 8139 chip on it. remember that in linux, brand names and makes seldom mean much, it's about the chips inside them.
the d-link has that chipset on it. i couldn't install the driver for the life of me though. i still own the card, maybe someone could help a newb out installing the driver?
