eth0 hangs on boot with mandrake 9.2 pls help!!!!!
 

i just successsfully installed drake 9.2 on my PC, but on reboot at runlevel 3, it hangs when it reaches eth0. how can i remedy this? it is because of the ip address conflicts or networking problems since i was on a network. and i gave it the same ip as the windows 2000 on the same machine. anyone there to give a helping hand?!!!!!!!!

It doesn't matter that you gave it the same IP as Winbloze 2000 on the same machine.
What does matter is if you entered something wrong in the network configuration. Did you give it the correct DNS server? The Correct default gateway? I'm assuming you will have to enter these manually since you are assigning it a static IP. If you entered any of these incorrectly, then it will hang for quite some time but should eventually go on. You would just have no network connection.
