Eth0 and Eth1

Hi,

I've a firewall on a Mandrake box.

Previous Net Admin had no docs so I cannot get in.

The problem looks like Eth1 has failed but not eth0

When we start the machine after the scripts , we get a login prompt

Then a password prompt

I cannot find the the login but I have the password

Anybody can help me with this problem

Appreciate it very much

Cheers

Ron

Replace the eth1 NIC. It will be the NIC that is farthest away from the CPU. Try to use an identical model if possible.

The login would be root, and the password would be whatever you have. Otherwise, you can type "linux single" at boot and then "passwd root" to change the root password.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
