Error Loading Program Into Memory
 
Tried installing, 10.1 a while ago ... and i get this error while the program is loading up ... what causes this ? and what's the workaround ?

Only happens with .. Mandrake, tried Slack, not a prob.

Do you mean the "Loading program into memory" bar which comes before installation?
Maybe the data in the cd is corrupted. have you tried burning another cd. Another problem could be with the iso, do an md5 checksum on it(k3b does it).

You could also check what the error message is, one of the "F" keys (F3 i think)
takes you into the command line interface, if an error has been encountered, a message would be put down there.

Yes, the bar which comes before the installation ... it halts halfway, then displays "Fatal Error".

I'll check out the error message though ... and post back for help.
