What would hapen if I went to easy urpmi and chose 10.1 official and updated my 10.1 community that way?

I've done it myself, but I'd urge you to do "urpmi --auto-select" int text mode because if you upgrade GNOME or KDE whilst running it, you may have problems later on.

urpmi.removemedia -a
urpmi.addmedia (the easy urpmi stuff)
urpmi urpmi
urpmi --auto-select
urpmi kernel
I've heard reports of people having trouble with kde and some recommend that you remove kde before using this method but most people (me included) have not had this problem.
