Downloading 10.1 DVD iso
 

am i the only one who has had problems downloading the dvd iso of mandrake 10.1? I have tried different servers but the result is the same. An incomplete copy of the iso. Either nero complains about the image size or the cd isnt completely readable and fails when installing.
Any ideas?

Haven't had any problems, I always get the torrents now though, give that a shot if you can.

Has ftp for the 3 isos and all work fine.

i read somewhere that the dvd-iso's cannot be downloaded through http while it gives a wrong filesize (which is true enough). However the solution should be simply to use a ftp client to download the image instead. Havent tried it yet though.

I had a problem downloading the dvd iso with wget. It wouldn't download more than 2 gig. I tried BitTorrent then and it accepted the 2 gig as already downloaded and got the rest of the file.

Another thing you might want to look at is if the type of partition you are downloading to can accept a file size of larger than 2 gig.

hmm.... okay i use ext3 filesystem, is there a filesize limit in this filesystem?
