Downgrading Mandrake 10 kernel to kernel-2.4.22.10mdk-1-1mdk
I am VERY frustrated and not liking Linux very much at the moment.
I have been trying to get my Lucent winmodem working with Mandrake 10 Beta 2 for about 2 months with no luck. I have tried every driver site and download I can get my hands on. I have installed god knows how many things I am about ready to chuck it in. Is it possible to revert the kernel back to 2.4.22 so I can use my tried and trusted ltmodem drivers that work with every distro I have every played around with? XP is starting to look good again.........may I burn in hell.:D |
Install the rpm for the other kernel and then add it to lilo or grub (maybe this is automatic?). You can then select on boot.

Thanks colnago. Yeah I think you're right.......I've been searching all day now (hope work hasn't been monitoring my internet activity  ) and it would appear, as with Fedora it adds another boot option.
